The National Intelligence Organization shared a report from 1935, which included the results of an investigation regarding a British woman who claimed to be a journalist and requested an interview with the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
The official website of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has added a new intelligence report to the "documents" section under the "Special Collection" tab. The latest document published is an intelligence report prepared by the Istanbul Bureau regarding the results of the investigation into an English woman who claimed to be a journalist and requested an interview with the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
The report dated May 31, 1935, included the following statements:
ENGLISH AGENT REQUESTED AN INTERVIEW WITH ATATÜRK
"I was able to meet with Mr. Kılıç Ali 4 hours after your order. I received the following order. A woman claiming to be an English journalist, sitting with her secretary in Perapalas, requested an interview with Atatürk.
ATATÜRK KNEW SHE WAS A SPY
Atatürk is convinced that this is a spy. They want detailed information about this woman to be provided before making a decision on whether to accept or not, including reviewing her correspondence, checking her documents, and determining whether she has any relations with the embassy. They also added that the police had not been informed. I obtained results 3 hours later, but I could only provide this result at 22:00. Mr. Kılıç Ali's response was as follows: 'Atatürk read your letter, found it interesting, was very pleased, and thanks you. They want to proceed as we discussed regarding her correspondence and documents,' they said.
"IF I GET THE OPPORTUNITY, I WILL TRY TO ENTER HER ROOM"
The details I provided to Mr. Kılıç Ali, which I presented accordingly, sufficiently illuminate the situation of the women. There are 2 days left for the woman to leave. However, I have ensured to obtain her incoming and outgoing letters. If the opportunity arises, I will also try to enter her room. I am presenting photos of the women for your information."
