In the Tire district of Izmir, 16-year-old Yigit Can Biskin, who was accidentally shot in the abdomen while playing with a gun, died in the hospital. His friend C.K., who was present at the time of the incident, was detained and arrested. Police are investigating whether the incident was an accident or occurred for another reason.
In the Tire district of Izmir, a 16-year-old boy, who was claimed to have been shot in the abdomen when a pistol accidentally went off while he was playing with it at home, lost his fight for life at the hospital he was taken to. Following the incident, police teams launched a comprehensive investigation and took into custody the friend who was present with the unfortunate boy at the time of the incident. The boy was arrested by the court he was brought before and sent to prison.
HE STARTED PLAYING WITH A GUN FOUND AT HOME
The incident occurred around 15:00 yesterday at a house located on Ismail Tasli Street in the Tire district. Yigit Can Biskin (16) began playing with a pistol while he was at home. According to the allegation, during this time, the pistol suddenly fired, and Biskin was seriously wounded by the bullet that struck his abdomen, collapsing to the ground in blood.
NEIGHBORS HEARD THE GUNSHOT
After neighbors who heard the gunshot coming from the house reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Following the first aid intervention by medical teams at the scene, the unfortunate boy was taken by ambulance to Tire State Hospital. After emergency intervention there, as his condition remained critical, he was transferred to Izmir City Hospital. Yigit Can Biskin could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors.
HIS FRIEND WAS ARRESTED
Following the incident, police teams cordoned off the area and began a detailed investigation to determine whether the incident was an accident or caused by another reason. Within the scope of the investigation, his friend C.K. (16), who was determined to have been with Biskin at the time of the incident, was taken into custody by the teams. After his statement procedures at the police station, C.K. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
