The Ministry of Treasury and Finance denied news containing claims of calibration to the tight monetary policy. In the continuation of the statement, it also announced that comments about a radical change in the economic program and an interest rate cut due to an 'early election' are not true and that the news should not be relied upon.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced that comments suggesting a fundamental change in the economic program are not accurate.

The Ministry made a written statement regarding the news published in a newspaper titled "Preparation for calibration of tight monetary policy."

In the statement, it was noted that the news included certain claims, attributed to "sources from the real sector and banking close to the Ministry," under the guise of "behind-the-scenes information," and that the news was turned into disinformation.

The statement included the following:

"The said news was prepared without asking the directly relevant parties. In particular, issues concerning monetary policy tools, exchange rate policy, and credit growth limits, which are under the purview of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, have been associated with our Ministry, and comments suggesting a fundamental change in the economic program in this context are not accurate. It is important not to give credence to such news that may cause the public to be misled and that has not been confirmed by our Ministry or relevant institutions."
