The CHP Central Executive Board referred Hasbi Dede, who was arrested as part of a sexual harassment investigation and suspended from his position as the Mayor of Görele, to the high disciplinary board with a request for his expulsion.
The Republican People's Party convened its Central Executive Board today. The most important agenda item was Görele Mayor Hasbi Dede, who was accused of molesting a 16-year-old girl. A decision was made regarding the arrested Dede. According to the MYK decision, Mayor Dede was referred to disciplinary action with a request for expulsion.
WHO IS GÖRELE MAYOR HASBİ DEDE?
Hasbi Dede, born in 1983 in the Görele district of Giresun, completed his entire education in the district where he was born and raised. Dede completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Görele and successfully graduated from the International University of Dublin with a degree in Political Science.
Hasbi Dede began his professional career in the sports community, serving as a football referee in professional leagues under the Turkish Football Federation from 2002 to 2020. In addition to his refereeing career, he also took an active role in sports management by serving as the President of the Giresun Branch of the Turkish Active Football Referees and Observers Association from 2018 to 2021.
Dede started his political career in 2020 by joining the Republican People's Party (CHP) and served as the Chairman of the Commission Responsible for Social Policies in the Görele District Organization. He was then appointed as the Deputy Provincial Chairman of CHP Giresun.
In the Local Government General Election on March 31, 2024, Hasbi Dede was nominated as the Mayor of Görele by CHP, winning the election with 4,393 votes (%47.28) and began his term as the Mayor of Görele.
On the other hand, Dede has been continuing his contracting activities as the owner of Nilada Construction Food Transportation Industry Trade Co. since 2006. He is married and a father of two daughters.
