In Istanbul, Turkey, all 17 suspects detained in an operation targeting those who accessed OnlyFans, which was blocked by a court decision, and shared obscene content by changing their IP addresses, have been arrested.

An operation was carried out against those producing content on OnlyFans, which was blocked from access by court order in Istanbul. During the operation, 17 suspects were detained, and 2 companies, 10 properties, and 14 vehicles belonging to the suspects were seized. A decision was made regarding the suspects who were referred to the courthouse.

The Cyber Crime Department teams of the Istanbul Police Department initiated a study under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of 'Money Laundering' and 'Obscenity'. Investigations revealed that access to the platform named OnlyFans, which was blocked by a court order on June 7, 2023, was achieved by changing the IP address. The studies found that the suspects directed their followers to paid exclusive content by sharing on their public social media accounts and encouraged access to the platform with visuals and videos to increase interaction. It was also learned that access to the content was promoted not only through the platform but also via instant messaging applications.
