Iran's National Security High Council Secretary Larijani stated, "Iran is ready to cooperate with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey to ensure regional stability against Israel."
Iran's National Security Council Secretary General Ali Larijani, in a special interview with Al Jazeera, made evaluations regarding current issues. Reminding that the negotiation process is ongoing and that regional countries are also making efforts for the success of the negotiations, Larijani stated regarding the letter he sent to Oman's Foreign Minister Bedr bin Hamed al-Busaidi to convey Tehran's views to the U.S., "No official response has been received from the U.S. so far. The U.S. may evaluate its interests in the negotiations separately from Israel's interests."
"THEIR GOAL IS FOR IRAN NOT TO HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS" Larijani, stating that his country is open to cooperation in the negotiations, said, "The goal frequently expressed by Trump is for Iran not to have nuclear weapons. This is a common point that Iran does not oppose. We were supporters of negotiations in previous periods, and we are now." He emphasized that the negotiation process should not be prolonged, stating, "The missile issue is a matter concerning Iran's national security, so this topic will not be included in the discussions. Any issue other than the nuclear matter will hinder the process."
Regarding the negative outcome of the negotiation talks and the possibility of a U.S. attack, Larijani stated, "I do not think the other side (the U.S.) is looking for a new war considering previous experiences, but if they use force against us, they will face consequences. We are not seeking war, but we are prepared. We are negotiating with the U.S. Israel is trying to sabotage the negotiations by intervening. Today, our biggest enemy is Israel." Regarding enriched uranium, Larijani said, "It cannot be said that there should be zero enrichment for a country that possesses technology. For example, 20% enriched uranium is necessary for health studies."
Iran's National Security Council Secretary General Ali Larijani "WE ARE READY FOR COOPERATION WITH TURKEY, SAUDI ARABIA, AND EGYPT" Larijani, arguing that Israel plays an adventurous role in the region and tries to create excuses for war, stated, "Officials of regional countries know that Israel is planning to stir up the region. Iran is ready for cooperation with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey to ensure regional stability against Israel."
"ISRAEL'S ATTACK LED TO A GREAT UNITY IN OUR COUNTRY" Evaluating the 12-day conflict process between Iran and Israel, Larijani emphasized that the propaganda of Israeli spies within Iran is not as strong as it is portrayed, stating, "Of course, some oversights occurred, but we dealt a serious blow to the spy networks and security measures have been increased." Larijani also stated, "The Israeli attack caused a great unity in our country, and this is an important achievement."
NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN IRAN AND THE U.S. The nuclear talks between Iran and the U.S., which were interrupted after the attacks by Israel and the U.S. in June 2025, were resumed in Oman on February 6. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Baghaei stated regarding the talks with the U.S., "The negotiations in Muscat between Iran and the U.S. ended with the parties reaching an agreement to continue the discussions." The negotiations took place during a period when tensions between Tehran and Washington were rising again, and Washington was increasing its military buildup against Tehran in the region.
