Footage from another car's dashcam has emerged of the accident in Bursa where 17-year-old Hasan Akın lost his life after his car, in which he was cutting off other vehicles, crashed into a median.
In the Yıldırım district of Bursa, 17-year-old Hasan Akın, who was weaving through traffic, lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the median. In the horrific accident, the young driver lost his life, while his friend in the car was seriously injured. The moment of the accident was captured second by second by the camera of another vehicle coming from behind.
CRASHED INTO THE MEDIAN AND SWERVED
The accident occurred around 02:00 at night at the Otosansit location on Ankara Yolu Street in the Yıldırım district. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 16 BME 612, driven by 17-year-old Hasan Akın, went out of control while weaving through traffic. The swerving car crashed into the median at high speed. The driver Hasan Akın and his friend Ömer K., who were in the vehicle that was turned into scrap metal by the force of the impact, were seriously injured.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE INTERVENTIONS
Upon the notification of those around, numerous police, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, extracted from the vehicle by fire brigade teams, were taken to Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital after initial medical intervention. The driver Hasan Akın, who was taken under treatment at the hospital, lost his life despite all the doctors' interventions. It was learned that the seriously injured Ömer K. continues to be in critical condition.
