Furkan Foundation President Alparslan Kuytul, who reacted to the operation against the Süleymancıs, received a response from Presidential Chief Advisor Oktay Saral. Saral said, 'Your water has gotten hot enough too, Kuytul! You haven't come to your senses; your turn will come as well!'
Alparslan Kuytul, Founding Chairman of the Furkan Foundation, who reacted to the investigation and arrest decisions against Alihan Kuriş, the leader of the structure known publicly as "Süleymancılar," received a harsh response from Presidential Chief Advisor Oktay Saral.
Saral shared the video recording in which Kuytul criticized the operation against Süleymancılar on his social media account, saying, "Your water has heated up enough too, Kuytul! You haven't come to your senses; your turn will come as well!"
"THERE IS NO POWER GREATER THAN THE STATE"
In his statement, Oktay Saral drew attention to the supremacy of the state and the law, emphasizing that one cannot challenge the state by hiding behind religion and sacred values. Saral made the following assessments in his post:
"Let those who use religion, the nation, and sacred values as a shield for their own structures never forget this: FETÖ's fate is evident. The miserable end of Alihan Kuriş and his henchmen is also clear. There is no power greater than the state. Whoever defies the state will face the nation's will and the power of the law."
WHAT HAD ALPARSLAN KUYTUL SAID?
Furkan Foundation Chairman Alparslan Kuytul, in a video he recorded after the operation against the Süleymancılar structure, had argued that communities should not surrender. Criticizing the appointments of trustees, Kuytul had used the following statements:
"If they are guilty, there is no need for them to cause trouble; if they are innocent, they should fight. If they are innocent, let them fight, let them not surrender. The state and the government must learn that they cannot silence every community, and they must learn that they cannot appoint trustees everywhere. Will the state decide who will lead the community? They have gotten very used to appointing trustees. They appoint trustees to parties, municipalities, factories, ruining everyone's work and livelihood. Now, will you also appoint a trustee to the community? If this person is not someone who filled his pockets and amassed wealth, communities should defend their teachers."
