Dr. Ahmet Şimşek, a 27-year-old physician working in the Cardiology Department of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine, passed away due to a heart attack.
Dr. Ahmet Şimşek, who worked in the Cardiology Department of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine, passed away last night due to a heart attack. Şimşek, who was married and a father of two, was honored with a ceremony at the hospital where he worked.
"SUDDEN LOSS"
TOGÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, in his speech here, stated that Şimşek had made significant contributions to the hospital, saying, "A sudden loss. It has deeply affected and saddened all of us. I pray for our professor's soul. May we be strong."
HE WILL BE BURIED IN HIS HOMETOWN
The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mücahit Eğri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Raşit Kılıç, Chief Physician of the University Hospital Prof. Dr. Erkan Gökçe, as well as academics, administrative staff, and family members. Dr. Ahmet Şimşek's funeral was taken to his hometown Kayseri to be laid to rest after the ceremony.
