HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?

In Turkey, fuel prices are determined by taking into account the prices of refined petroleum products in international markets and changes in the exchange rate.

The final pump price is formed by adding Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV), EMRA revenue share, distribution and dealer margins, and Value Added Tax (VAT) to the refinery price calculated based on product prices formed in the Mediterranean market and the dollar exchange rate.

Fuel prices may vary between provinces depending on transportation costs and the pricing policies of distribution companies.
