EVACUATED AFTER SOUNDS WERE HEARD
The incident occurred yesterday around 21:30 on Tasova Street, Yenibosna Merkez Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, municipal teams were notified after sounds were heard from the columns of the approximately 38-year-old building last night.
Following the inspections, the 4-story building, which contained a total of 22 apartments along with 3 workplaces on the ground floor, was evacuated as a precaution.
COLLAPSED WITH A LOUD NOISE
In the evening hours, however, the building collapsed. Upon notification, police, fire, health, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. Police took extensive security measures, closing the street to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. AFAD and fire teams initiated a precautionary search operation in the building. During the searches conducted with a trained search and rescue dog, no people were found trapped under the rubble. The collapsed building was also captured from the air.
