Three people who went out to pick mushrooms in the Pülümür district of Tunceli were injured in a bear attack. The injured, rescued after a 4-hour operation by teams, were transferred to hospitals in Erzincan.
Three people who went out to collect mushrooms in Tunceli were injured in a bear attack.
The incident occurred in the Şampaşakaraderbendi village of Tunceli's Pülümür district. According to available information, citizens E.S. (30), C.Y. (31), and A.K. (32) were injured when attacked by a bear while collecting mushrooms in the rural area of the village.
SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORTS LASTED 4 HOURS
Upon notification, Bingöl UMKE and 112 Emergency Health teams, along with Tunceli UMKE and Bingöl AFAD teams, were dispatched to the region. The teams conducted search and rescue operations lasting approximately 4 hours in steep and challenging terrain. As a result of the efforts, the injured citizens were reached and given initial medical treatment at the scene.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
The injured were safely taken from the area by Bingöl 112 Emergency Health teams and transferred to healthcare facilities in Erzincan for continued treatment. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the teams involved in search, rescue, and medical operations, the injured citizens were quickly delivered to healthcare teams, and an investigation into the incident was launched.
