A passenger bus that lost control crashed into a concrete tunnel in the Rajasthan state of India. In the accident, 12 people lost their lives, and 40 others were injured. The accident occurred around 2:00 PM on Tuesday in the Sikar region. According to eyewitnesses, the bus belonging to a private company suddenly started swerving and crashed into the concrete structure at high speed. The front part of the bus was completely crushed due to the impact. Two passengers died at the scene, while three others lost their lives during surgeries at the hospital. Officials from SK Hospital stated that 23 people are in critical condition and are receiving treatment. The Chief Minister of the state, Bhajanlal Sharma, stated, "The loss of life is heartbreaking. I have instructed the authorities to ensure that the injured receive the best possible treatment." While the cause of the accident is being investigated, the increasing number of bus accidents in India in recent months is drawing attention. In a similar accident in July, two children lost their lives, and in Kerala, four people, including a one-year-old baby, died when a bus plunged into a ravine.
