In the first weapon surrender ceremony held in the rural area of Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, 30 PKK terrorists, including 4 leaders, burned their weapons. Images of the destruction of the weapons are also expected to be released.

We wholeheartedly agree with Abdullah Öcalan's statement, 'I believe in the power of politics and social peace, not weapons, and I call on you to realize this principle,' and we are very proud and honored to fulfill the requirements of this historic principle."
