In the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, an uncle, F.Y., opened fire with a gun on his nephews with whom he had a feud during an argument at home. Gazi Zafer Yaman and Güven Yaman lost their lives, while M.S. was injured. The uncle, F.Y., was taken into custody by the police.
The incident occurred in the middle of the night at a detached house on Altunhisar Street in the Fatih Sultan Mehmet neighborhood. F.Y. began arguing with his nephews, Gazi Zafer Yaman, Güven Yaman, and M.S., for reasons that are still unknown. As the argument escalated into a fight, uncle F.Y. fired at his nephews with a gun. The three relatives, hit by the bullets, collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, while those nearby who heard the gunshots reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
2 PEOPLE DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon the notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. During the health teams' examination, it was determined that Gazi Zafer Yaman and Güven Yaman had lost their lives, while the injured M.S. was taken to the hospital for treatment. The uncle, F.Y., who was present at the scene, was also taken into custody by the police. After the work of the crime scene investigation teams on the street and in the house, the bodies of Gazi Zafer Yaman and Güven Yaman were taken to the morgue for autopsy procedures. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
