A car that crashed into a median in Erzurum fell into a hospital garden and caught fire! 3 people died.

The accident occurred around 00:30 in the Yakutiye district. According to reports, Muhammet Yıldırım (30), while driving his car, overtook another vehicle at the intersection while heading towards Havuzbaşı from the Çat road.

Due to excessive speed, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which first crashed into the median and then fell into the garden of Palandöken State Hospital across the road. The impact caused the car's engine to catch fire. In the accident, driver Muhammet Yıldırım and his passengers Muhammet Ayyıldız (22) and Selim Kılıç (30) were injured. Upon notification from bystanders, fire, ambulance, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The driver Muhammet Yıldırım and Muhammet Ayyıldız, who were extracted from the car that was quickly extinguished by the fire brigade, were taken to Atatürk University Research Hospital, while Selim Kılıç was taken to Erzurum City Hospital. Muhammet Yıldırım and Muhammet Ayyıldız died on the way, while Selim Kılıç passed away in the hospital he was taken to.

The funerals of the young men were handed over to their families after autopsies conducted at the Forensic Medicine Institution. Relatives carrying the coffins were in tears, and it was learned that Muhammet Ayyıldız was the only son of his family, while Muhammet Yıldırım had gotten married three months ago.

It was reported that the three deceased in the accident were relatives and that their funerals would be held today in the rural Özdere neighborhood of Oltu district.
