A 13-year-old boy who was attacked by stray dogs while returning from school to the dormitory in the Haymana district of Ankara has been placed under treatment in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. The father, Ümit Güngör, stated that his son was injured on his skull, shoulder, and arms, saying, "Someone needs to put a stop to this." According to the information obtained, Hayrettin Güngör (13), an 8th-grade student at Mahmut Hilmi Doğan Middle School in Haymana, was attacked by stray dogs in an empty field while returning to the dormitory from school yesterday. Güngör, who was rescued from the dogs with the help of nearby citizens, was injured in various parts of his body, including his head, neck, and shoulder area. After the first intervention by the medical teams who arrived at the scene upon citizens' notification, the child was taken to Haymana State Hospital and then transferred to the intensive care unit of Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. "SOMEONE NEEDS TO PUT A STOP TO THIS"Ümit Güngör, the father of Güngör who was attacked by the dogs, stated in an interview with IHA that he received the news of his son's attack while he was in the village, saying, "He was attacked by 5-10 dogs. Someone needs to put a stop to this. The value of animals has surpassed that of humans. I don't want parents like me to suffer. I am in pain, and I don't want anyone else to feel this pain. A solution must be found for this." Güngör, who mentioned that his son is being treated in the intensive care unit, said that his son was injured on his skull, shoulder, and arms, and that he is conscious.
