Upon the villagers' notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the village. The lifeless body of Mehmet Hasırcı was taken to Mehmet Akif Ersoy Çanakkale State Hospital for autopsy after the examination by the prosecutor and gendarmerie. Gendarmerie teams detained Ahmet Hasırcı. It was reported that Mehmet Hasırcı's body would be buried in the village cemetery after the autopsy.
