A male corpse was found hanging by a cable from iron railings in Istanbul's Kağıthane district during the night hours. In the horrific incident that emerged following reports from nearby citizens, the deceased was identified as 33-year-old Sherip Babajanov, a Turkmenistan national. The lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
A blood-curdling incident occurred last Friday night in the Merkez neighborhood of Istanbul's Kağıthane district. Around 11:10 PM, passersby noticed a person hanging by a cable from iron railings and quickly reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Following the horrifying report, numerous police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon rapid arrival, health officials determined during initial checks that the individual, hanging by a cable around his neck from the iron railings, showed no signs of life and had died at the scene.
IDENTITY CONFIRMED
After the grim reality was understood, the crime scene was cordoned off with police tape. Following detailed investigations by Crime Scene Investigation teams, the identity of the deceased was determined. The individual found dead under suspicious circumstances was identified as 33-year-old Sherip Babajanov, a Turkmenistan national.
BODY TAKEN TO FORENSIC MEDICINE FOR CAUSE OF DEATH
After the teams completed their meticulous work at the scene, Sherip Babajanov's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue to determine the exact cause of death. While it remains unclear whether the incident was a suicide or murder, a wide-ranging investigation initiated by police teams is ongoing.
