Meanwhile, as the snowfall intermittently increased its effect in Istanbul, the city was covered in white, and after the rain that lasted throughout the night, traffic congestion turned into a nightmare in the morning hours. After the roads were blocked, the Istanbul Governorship banned heavy vehicles and couriers from entering traffic starting from 10:00 today until further notice.

The snow that started yesterday in Istanbul continues to fall intermittently in the form of a blizzard. Due to the snowfall, the morning traffic congestion rose to 81% in the morning hours.
HOW LONG WILL THE PRECIPITATION LAST?
According to the forecast of the General Directorate of Meteorology, the snowfall in Istanbul will give way to rain in the evening hours. Meteorology expert Prof. Dr. Orhan Şen stated, "The snowfall will continue until noon today. The snowfall will leave Istanbul around 18:00 in the evening. The temperature will rise to 6 degrees around noon. Even if it is mixed with rain, it will be strong."
