The leader of the terrorist organization YPG/SDG, Sipan Hamo, stated that they expect a stronger intervention from the US and Israel in the face of the Syrian army's advance, while claiming that they do not receive support from Iran and Russia and that they do not have a separate state goal. Leader Hamo also demanded that Israel carry out airstrikes against the Syrian army "on behalf of the Kurds in Syria."

The leader of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG/SDG, Sipan Hamo, evaluated the advance of the Syrian army in the west and east of the Euphrates to the British news agency Reuters. Hamo claimed that they do not receive support from Iran and Russia, requesting assistance from the USA and Israel, and asserted that they do not have the goal of establishing a separate state.

"WE DO NOT HAVE A PLAN FOR AN INDEPENDENT STATE"

Hamo stated that no concrete roadmap for a ceasefire emerged during the discussions between US representative Tom Barrack and Kurdish officials, claiming that the Kurds in Syria do not want to separate or establish an independent state. Hamo indicated that they see their future within Syria, expressing that they expect a stronger and more effective intervention, especially from coalition forces and the USA.

"THE USA MUST PROVIDE US WITH A GUARANTEE OF PROTECTION"

Hamo mentioned that they accept Washington's balancing of the alliance it has maintained with Kurdish forces for years by supporting the Syrian administration led by President Ahmed Shara, but argued that the concerns of the Kurds regarding the changes taking place should be taken into account. Hamo asserted that the USA must provide them with a guarantee of protection, stating that the only actor capable of providing this assurance under the current conditions is the USA.

"ISRAEL MUST STRIKE SYRIAN FORCES FROM THE AIR"

Hamo, who placed the responsibility for the developments in Syria on Western countries, especially the USA, reiterated that they do not receive support from Iran and Russia. Describing Israel as a strong state with its own agenda in the region, Hamo expressed hope that Israel's attitude towards certain minorities in Syria would also reflect on the Kurds. Hamo stated that they believe Israel could intervene on behalf of the Kurds in Syria with airstrikes against Syrian forces.

"ISRAEL HAS DISAPPOINTED US"

On the other hand, former YPG spokesperson Mustafa Bali stated in an interview with Israeli public television KAN that Israel has disappointed them. Bali expressed that the public currently holds Israel responsible for the ongoing events.
