New details have emerged in the investigation launched against a female teacher working at a Vocational Training Center in the Bornova district of Izmir, who allegedly took six female students to her home during class hours to work in cleaning jobs. The teacher, who was detained on charges of 'human trafficking', was released under judicial control. In her statement, the teacher said she took the students to her home to give them her daughter's clothes as a gift.

In an incident that occurred on November 4, 2025, at a Vocational Training Center, Turkish Language and Literature Teacher D.T. allegedly took 6 female students named Ş.A., E.K., D.D., A.Y., E.N.K., and N.K., all aged 16, out of the school during class hours without the knowledge of the school administration and parents. It was claimed that D.T., who was said to have loaded the students into her private vehicle from a point not covered by security cameras, took the children to her newly moved-in home.
THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE SUSPENDED HER, THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE INITIATED AN INVESTIGATION
After the incident was made public on January 8, the İzmir Governor's Office initiated an administrative investigation. In a statement from the governor's office, it was said, "As part of the investigation, Turkish Language and Literature Teacher D.T. has been suspended from duty, and a criminal complaint has been filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding her." Following the governor's complaint, the judicial process initiated by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office led to teacher D.T. being taken into custody by police teams on charges of 'human trafficking.'
ALLEGATIONS OF "ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES AT HOME" IN THE FILE
Details included in the investigation file alleged that the students were made to carry boxes, collect items, and work on cleaning tasks at the teacher's home throughout the day. It was learned that at the end of the day, the students, who were not provided with food or transportation, walked from the Bayraklı TOKİ area towards the City Hospital and returned home on their own. In the parents' complaint letters, photos showing alcohol bottles and cigarettes in the environment where the students were present were presented as evidence.
HE SAID THE SYRINGES WERE FILLED WITH WATER
It was learned that the suspect D.T. denied the allegations in her statement. D.T. explained that the reason for taking the 15 and 16-year-old students to her home was to give them clothes belonging to her 12-year-old daughter, and she claimed that the alcohol bottles in the photos were filled with water.
Additionally, it was determined that D.T. had mutual complaints with many of her colleagues, including the school principal, which had been referred to the judiciary.
RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL CONDITIONS
After her procedures at the police station, teacher D.T. was brought to court, where she was released under the condition of a travel ban and judicial control.
