Teams from the Uşak Municipality Water and Sewerage Department were dispatched to the area following a report of a blockage on Üç Nisan Street in the Ünalan neighborhood. Upon opening the manhole to address the blockage, the teams noticed a fetus in the sewage.

Upon notification, police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the work conducted in the sewage, the fetus extracted by the teams was taken to the morgue of Uşak Training and Research Hospital. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
