In the Seydikemer district of Muğla, 18-year-old Neslinur Topal, one of three siblings hospitalized due to suspected poisoning, has died, while an examination by AFAD teams revealed the presence of cyanide in the family's residence.
NESLİNUR HAS DIED, THE LIVES OF HER SIBLINGS REMAIN IN DANGER
On November 24, Neslinur Topal, along with her two brothers, Ramazan Olgun Topal and Furkan Topal, who live in Ortaköy neighborhood, applied to Seydikemer State Hospital due to suspected poisoning. As Neslinur Topal's condition worsened, she was urgently transferred to Fethiye State Hospital after experiencing loss of consciousness and cardiac arrest.
After the emergency intervention here, the young girl was transferred to Muğla Training and Research Hospital. Despite all interventions, Neslinur Topal lost her life. It was reported that her brothers, Ramazan Olgun Topal and Furkan Topal, were conscious but their lives remained in danger due to suspected poisoning, and their treatments were ongoing.
CYANIDE DETECTED IN THE HOUSE
An investigation has been launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident. As part of the investigation, AFAD personnel from Muğla, İzmir, and Ankara conducted examinations at the scene using toxic gas measurement devices. During the investigations, cyanide was detected in the house where the siblings resided.
SAMPLES TAKEN FROM THE HOUSE AND THE ADJACENT FLOUR FACTORY
AFAD teams took samples of feed, flour, wheat, and other products from the house and the flour factory located immediately adjacent to the residence to determine the source of the cyanide. The collected samples will be sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute Chemistry Specialization Department for necessary chemical examinations. A comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing.
