A fire that broke out on the first floor of an abandoned apartment building in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya was extinguished by fire crews, and the body of a man aged 30-35 was found in the apartment. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

After a fire broke out on the first floor of a four-story abandoned apartment building in Antalya, a male corpse aged 30-35 was found in the apartment, which was extinguished by the intervention of the teams. The fire broke out around 11:00 AM on the first floor of the four-story apartment building located on 141st Street in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of the Muratpaşa district. Firefighters, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the address following reports from those who saw the thick smoke coming from the building. The firefighting team entered through the outer door of the abandoned building and began to intervene after reaching the apartment where the smoke was coming from using a ladder.

FINGERPRINTS COULD NOT BE IDENTIFIED DUE TO BURNS ON THE CORPSE

The teams that extinguished the fire saw one person lying motionless in the living room. Upon inspection, it was determined that the identity of the unidentified male had passed away. Police and firefighting teams conducted a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Efforts are ongoing to identify the deceased individual, who is estimated to be around 30-35 years old. It was reported that the identity could not be determined from fingerprints due to the burns on the corpse. The body was sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue for an autopsy.
