A 27-year-old foreign woman was stabbed to death by her husband in Mersin. Her husband has been detained in connection with the incident, and their two children have been taken into protective custody.

TEAMS ENTERING THE BEDROOM WERE MET WITH HORROR
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on the 3rd floor of a 5-story apartment building on Çakmak Street in the central Akdeniz district, in the Nusratiye neighborhood. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the address upon the notification of neighbors who heard sounds coming from the apartment. The teams that entered the house found a woman named Shaimas Abdi (27) stabbed in the left breast in the bedroom. In the examination conducted by the medical teams, it was determined that the woman, who had stab wounds on various parts of her body, had lost her life.
HE CONFESSED EVERYTHING
Following the incident, the Homicide Bureau teams initiated an investigation and detained the woman's husband, Abdulmuti Abdi (34). It was learned that in the suspect's initial statement, he confessed to stabbing his wife during an argument, stating that there had been severe discord between them for some time. It was reported that the knife used in the incident was found and seized with the suspect's indication. Additionally, it was determined that the suspect washed the blood from his hands at a fountain of a nearby mosque after the incident.
CHILDREN TAKEN UNDER PROTECTION
Meanwhile, the couple's two young children, who were reported to be at a neighbor's house during the incident, were taken by the Child Protection Department teams and brought to the police for necessary procedures. It was learned that the children would be handed over to the relevant institution. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
