After the announcement of Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumaklı that forest fires continue in 5 points, flames started to rise from another place. While the forest fire that broke out in Yatağan district of Muğla was rapidly progressing due to the effect of the wind, the Aydın-Muğla highway was closed to traffic due to the flames. Nebiköy and Kafaca Village were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
In Yatağan district of Muğla, the number of places where forest fires are ongoing has increased to 6. It is stated that the fire in Yatağan is spreading rapidly.
FOREST FIRES IN TWO DIFFERENT DISTRICTS IN MUĞLA Air and ground interventions are being carried out in the forested areas of Menteşe and Yatağan districts in Muğla. The fire broke out in the forested areas on the slopes of Yava Neighborhood in Yatağan district and Yeniköy Neighborhood in Menteşe district during noon hours. Upon the notification of the citizens who noticed the flames rising from the forest to the 112 Emergency Call Center, teams from Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. While the teams intervene on the ground in the areas where the fire is spreading rapidly, firefighting helicopters and planes also provide support from the air.
The teams, who are conducting an intense struggle against the flames expanding due to the wind, continue their efforts uninterruptedly to bring the fire under control. Intervention teams are progressing in a coordinated manner to prevent the fire from threatening more areas and trying to extinguish the flames. While the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, officials have warned citizens to be cautious.
IZMIR FIRE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL DAYS LATER Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı shared the latest situation regarding forest fires nationwide. Speaking in İzmir Yamanlar Seyirtepe, Yumaklı said, "We have good news today. It is pleasing to start the day with good news. We announced that there is no risk in İzmir Karşıyaka Yamanlar. Thank God, this fire has now been brought under control."
"BOLU FIRE UNDER CONTROL" Minister Yumaklı also provided information about the ongoing fires. Yumaklı stated that the fire in Göynük, Bolu started in a steep terrain and affected a wide area, and said, "It has now been brought under control. Occasionally, small smokes may be seen due to the tree structure. There is no need to worry."
"COOLING OPERATIONS CONTINUE IN ÇEŞME" Minister Yumaklı said, "Our teams have intervened in the fire in the shrubbery area in Çeşme. The intervention started with the coordination of local administrations and the governorship. One site was evacuated. There is no damage to houses or any loss of life or injuries. Cooling operations are ongoing."
Minister Yumaklı stated that there are 5 ongoing fires and used the following statements: "It was continuing in a steep and roadless section in Menderes, İzmir. Our colleagues intervened from the ground throughout the night. The energy was reduced with the help of aircraft. 4 planes and 11 helicopters are still intervening from the ground. The energy has decreased and it is very close to being under control.
There has been a fire in Bozdağ for 3 days. There was wind that even took down the flagpole. It has reached a certain maturity with the struggle. This place is also under control and is one of the closest places to be informed.

THE BALANCE OF THE FIRE IN IZMIR Minister of Environment and Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that out of the 52 buildings and 97 independent sections examined in İzmir, which were affected by forest fires, 43 buildings and 45 independent sections were collapsed, heavily or moderately damaged.
