In an operation carried out by police teams in the Bodrum district of Muğla, 48-year-old Kenan Yarış, who has been on the run since 2019 and has a confirmed prison sentence of 24 years, was captured. POINT OPERATION BY PUBLIC ORDER TEAMS
Teams from the Bodrum District Police Department's Public Order Bureau obtained information that a fugitive they had been tracking for a long time was in the district. Technical and physical surveillance was initiated for 48-year-old Kenan Yarış, who was wanted for four separate serious crimes, including violation of residential immunity, theft, damage to property, and armed robbery.
ESCAPE ENDED AT THE GAS STATION
As a result of the surveillance, the vehicle in which the fugitive convict was located was identified. Kenan Yarış, in the car that was intercepted near a gas station, was taken into custody before he had a chance to resist the police. It was revealed that the individual, whose identity was confirmed, had managed to evade security forces for a full 7 years.
DIRECTLY FROM THE COURT TO PRISON
After completing the procedures at the police station, the convict was transferred to Bodrum Courthouse under heavy security measures. Yarış, whose confirmed prison sentence of 24 years and 5 days was read to him, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
