A 54-year-old woman in Indonesia was attacked by a crocodile in the river. The remains of the woman, who was torn apart by a 4.2-meter crocodile while washing dishes in the Wali River, were found inside the killed crocodile. There are 14 crocodile species living in the country, and they are approaching villages due to habitat loss. The daily use of rivers by people increases the risk of attacks.

An 54-year-old grandmother, Halima Rahakbauw, was attacked by a 4.2-meter crocodile while washing dishes in the Wali River in Indonesia. The crocodile dragged Halima into the water, severing her two arms and one leg.

Eyewitness Ali Rahangmetan said he saw the crocodile eat a person. The police sounded the alarm and started a search, eventually killing the crocodile. Villagers found human remains inside the crocodile.

Halima's relative, Jamia Seknun, stated that the grandmother went to the river to collect shellfish and likely returned to wash the dishes.

There are 14 different crocodile species living in the Indonesian islands. It is believed that crocodiles are approaching villages due to excessive hunting and habitat loss. The use of rivers for daily tasks by people in developing countries increases the risk of attacks.

A similar incident recently occurred in Australia. 40-year-old Dave Hogbin lost his life after falling into crocodile-infested waters.
