A gynecologist, Prof. Dr. C.K., was arrested in Trabzon for receiving cash payments from patients under the guise of "surgery" fees, in addition to official payments made to the hospital. It was learned that the professor had recently received 150,000 TL in cash as a surgery fee from one of his patients.
It has been claimed that Prof. Dr. C.K., a Gynecologist working at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) Farabi Hospital in Trabzon, has been demanding surgery fees from his patients in addition to the official payments made to the hospital and himself for a long time.
COLLECTED AN EXTRA 150 THOUSAND TL FROM A PATIENT
The professor, who has nearly 10 complaints against him, continued to collect extra money from patients despite warnings from the hospital administration.
Most recently, Prof. Dr. C.K. was suspended by the rectorate and an investigation was initiated on the allegation that he received 150 thousand TL in cash as a surgery fee from a patient, in addition to the official payments made to the hospital and himself.
ARRESTED
Prof. Dr. C.K., who has received numerous complaints from patients and their relatives through CİMER, was arrested by court order following the ongoing judicial process.
