The Minimum Wage Determination Commission held its first meeting as part of the efforts to determine the minimum wage that will be valid in 2026. Before the meeting, Ramazan Ağar, the Deputy Chairman of TÜRK-İŞ, met with the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan. Following the meeting, he announced that TÜRK-İŞ would not participate in the minimum wage determination efforts. The commission's second meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 18.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission convened for the first time to determine the new minimum wage, which will be effective from January 1, 2026. The initial meeting, which concerns approximately 30 million employees, lasted for one and a half hours.
