The leader of the opposition Democratic Party in Israel, Yair Golan, stated that the Israeli army is about to enter a war whose "sole purpose is to protect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political survival."
In a statement made on his X account, Israeli opposition leader Golan said that the lives of Israeli hostages are "truly" at risk.
HARSH WORDS FOR THE ARMY
In his statement, Golan said, "The Israeli army is about to enter a war that has no security purpose, whose sole aim is to protect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political survival."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Today, Kassam Brigades spokesman Abu Ubaida warned that a possible escalation of attacks on Gaza could lead to the death of Israeli hostages in the hands of the resistance.
Abu Ubaida also stated that Israel "will not achieve what it could not accomplish through war and genocide through threats and tricks."
CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT IN GAZA
The first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, which came into effect on January 19 in Gaza, ended on March 1 after 42 days. It is reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has obstructed the negotiations for the second phase of the agreement, which was supposed to start on February 3.
In a statement made by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office on March 2, it was announced that Netanyahu decided to halt the entry of all humanitarian aid materials into the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu wants the first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in the Gaza Strip to be extended until the end of Ramadan instead of moving to the second phase.
