Following the recent fluctuations in oil prices, a new discount announcement has arrived. According to information obtained from market sources, a reduction of 1 lira and 30 kuruş is expected in gasoline prices.
A pleasing news has arrived for millions of gasoline vehicle owners in Turkey. Following the 1 lira 15 kuruş discount that took place on Tuesday, a new discount of 1 lira 30 kuruş is expected on the price of gasoline per liter. The discounted prices will be valid starting from Friday.
NEW DISCOUNT OF 1 LIRA 30 KURUŞ ON GASOLINE
The decline in oil prices is reflected as a discount on fuel. A discount of 1 lira 30 kuruş is expected on the price of gasoline per liter, effective from Friday. No price changes are expected in the diesel group.
In Istanbul, the price of gasoline is sold at 45 lira 39 kuruş, in Ankara at 45 lira 94 kuruş, and in Izmir at 46 lira 31 kuruş.
OIL PRICES ARE FALLING
Oil prices are decreasing due to the uncertainty regarding trade tariffs. The price of a barrel of Brent crude oil has fallen by 0.27% to 70.85 dollars. Crude oil has dropped to 68 dollars.
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES DETERMINED?
According to the Petroleum Market Law, since January 1, 2005, a Free Pricing System has been applied to fuel. With this system, fuel distribution companies are free to determine the depot sales price according to different pricing policies, and dealers also apply the ceiling pump sales prices recommended to them by the distribution companies. Dealers are also free to apply their own pump sales prices according to the competitive conditions of their region. In Turkey, retail sales prices are determined considering the competitive conditions.
