As a result of the war in the Middle East affecting energy markets, another increase in fuel prices is coming. A 6 TL increase in diesel is expected on Tuesday, March 24. Due to the depletion of the margin in the "Eşel Mobil" system, the increase will be directly reflected at the pump. The expected increase of 1 TL and 30 kuruş in gasoline will affect the pump as a 32 kuruş increase because the Eşel Mobil margin has not been depleted.

The rising tension in the Middle East continues to affect energy markets. Following a 5.18 TL increase in diesel prices yesterday, it has been learned that another price hike in fuel is expected. The rising oil prices, influenced by global developments, will reflect on pump prices in the coming days.

HORMUZ STRAIT CRISIS TRIGGERED PRICES

After the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran, Iran's closure of the Hormuz Strait created serious pressure on energy supply. The crisis in the strait, through which a significant portion of global oil trade passes, has upwardly affected oil prices. This development has also caused a chain increase in fuel prices.

IT WILL REFLECT AS A PRICE INCREASE IN DIESEL

With the increase made yesterday, the price of diesel, which has reached 70 TL per liter, is expected to see another increase. According to journalist Olcay Aydilek, an increase of approximately 6 TL in diesel is expected starting from Tuesday, March 24. If this increase occurs, the diesel price will approach the 80 TL limit.

Due to the depletion of the margin in the escalator mobile system in the diesel group, the entire increase will directly reflect on pump prices.

ESCALATOR MOBILE SYSTEM IN GASOLINE

In the gasoline group, the escalator mobile system is still in effect. Therefore, a significant portion of the expected increase of approximately 1.30 TL will be covered by the special consumption tax (ÖTV). It is stated that the increase reflected to consumers will be around 32 kuruş.
