Galatasaray did not sell Barış Alper Yılmaz despite a $40 million offer from Saudi Arabian team NEOM and signed a new contract worth 6 million euros with the player. The agreement includes a guaranteed salary of 3 million euros, various performance bonuses, and a loyalty bonus. The management made a strong financial commitment to ensure that the star player remains with the team.
During the summer transfer period, Barış Alper Yılmaz, who faced difficulties in contract negotiations with Galatasaray, has finally signed a new agreement with the club.
The national football player, whose name was associated with the Saudi Arabian team NEOM SC during the transfer, decided to stay with the team after taking a stand against the management. The management arranged a new contract to maintain the player's morale and performance.
6 MILLION EURO MEGA CONTRACT
According to reports, the official contract details sent to the Turkish Football Federation include a liability of 6 million Euros.
The distribution of this amount is as follows;
- 3 million Euro guaranteed salary
- 500 thousand Euro loyalty bonus
- 1 million Euro if he plays 10 matches,
- up to 2 million Euro performance bonus if he plays 20 matches,
- 500 thousand Euro additional bonus for contributing to 20 goals.
With these figures, Barış Alper has risen to become one of the highest-earning domestic players in the Galatasaray squad.
NEOM OFFER AND GALATASARAY'S RESPONSE
During the summer, NEOM SC had offered a transfer fee of 40 million dollars for Barış Alper Yılmaz. The Galatasaray management rejected this offer because they were demanding 50 million dollars, excluding the 20% share that needed to be given to Keçiörengücü.
It was learned that the same club had offered the player an annual salary of 10 million dollars. Galatasaray decided to renew the contract by reassessing the salary balance to keep their player in the team. President Dursun Özbek stated in a recent announcement, "We have amended Barış's contract with new terms."
