The body found wrapped in a blanket in an empty lot in Şanlıurfa has been identified as 52-year-old Iranian national Omid Lotfipour. In the Eyyübiye district of Şanlıurfa, the body found wrapped in a blanket in an empty lot was identified as 52-year-old Iranian national Omid Lotfipour. Police launched an extensive investigation to clarify the incident.
The incident occurred in the morning hours in the Akabe neighborhood of Eyyübiye, on an empty lot near the ring road. Citizens passing through the area on their way to vineyard houses noticed a person lying motionless wrapped in a blanket and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that the individual had lost his life.
IDENTITY CONFIRMED
As a result of the investigations by the crime scene investigation teams, the deceased person was identified as 52-year-old Iranian national Omid Lotfipour. Lotfipour's body was taken to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death.
HOMICIDE BUREAU MOBILIZED
Teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Security Directorate's Public Order Branch launched an investigation to clarify all aspects of the incident.
Teams are examining security camera footage from the area and also consulting local citizens for information. Police continue their multifaceted investigation into the last people Omid Lotfipour contacted, how he arrived in the area, and whether his death is suspicious.
