A woman in Ümraniye, Istanbul, who ordered chicken for her child from the famous fast-food chain Popeyes, experienced a great shock when she saw that the delivered meal was full of worms. The mother, who went to the branch to protest the situation, reacted strongly to the branch manager's unbelievable defense that 'The worms formed in 2 hours at the courier,' and announced that she would take legal action.
In the Ümraniye district of Istanbul, a stomach-turning incident that brought food safety and public health into question occurred. A consumer who ordered delivery from a branch of the famous fast-food chain Popeyes experienced the shock of their life. The angry mother, who claimed that live worms came out of the chicken menu she bought for her child, headed straight to the branch that sent the order.
THE ORDERED CHICKEN TURNED OUT TO BE FULL OF WORMS
Realizing that the chicken was infested with worms and stating that her child suffered a major trauma, the woman went to the branch's cash register to protest the situation. Recording her ordeal and inability to find anyone to address her concerns with her mobile phone camera to share with the public, the woman was furious at the branch officials' lack of seriousness.
UNBELIEVABLE DEFENSE FROM THE MANAGER: IT FORMED IN 2 HOURS
Trying to make her voice heard at the branch cash register and noting that officials were not attending to her, the woman exposed the branch manager's mind-boggling defense with these words:
"The order I placed for my child was full of worms. And I can't reach anyone from Popeyes officials, no one is dealing with me. And we have a manager who says the worms formed in 2 hours. If there are worms that form in 2 hours during delivery, let someone come and explain this to me!"
"IF MY CHILD GETS POISONED, WHO WILL PAY THE PRICE?"
Stating that her child had a nervous breakdown due to the scene they encountered, the distressed and angry mother emphasized that she would not let the matter go, saying:
"My child had a nervous breakdown. I am suing the store completely. No child deserves this. If my child gets poisoned, who will pay the price?"
