NEW ARREST WARRANT FOR ALAATTİN KÖSELER
In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of 'manipulating a tender' and 'establishing, being a member of, and aiding an organization for the purpose of committing a crime', CHP Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, who was suspended from duty, was released two days ago along with 26 others. However, Köseler's freedom was short-lived.
HE WAS DETAINED AT HIS HOME
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the release of Köseler, as well as Veli Gümüş, Serdar Karahan, Havva Dindar, and Uğur İnci. They requested their re-arrest. The 17th Heavy Criminal Court rejected the prosecutor's objection, while the higher court, the 18th Heavy Criminal Court, requested their arrest. Police detained Alaattin Köseler at his home.
The prosecutor's office cited the nature and characteristics of the crime and the fact that all evidence had not yet been collected as reasons. It was stated in the prosecutor's objection that, for this reason, a judicial control measure in the form of a travel ban would be insufficient at this stage.
