The global decline in Brent crude oil prices and changes in exchange rates have reflected as a decrease in fuel prices in Turkey. However, Brent crude oil prices have started to rise again in international markets. Therefore, a new increase of 1 lira and 81 kuruş in gasoline prices is expected starting from tomorrow.
Global markets are experiencing fluctuations in current gasoline, diesel, and LPG (fuel) prices along with changes in brent oil prices and currency rates. Following a decline in brent oil prices below $70 for the first time in a long while last week, consecutive discount news in fuel prices emerged. After a 1 lira 15 kuruş discount on gasoline on March 4, an additional discount of 2 lira 6 kuruş was implemented on gasoline on March 7. Additionally, starting from March 8, a discount of 1 lira 35 kuruş was applied to diesel prices.
BRENT OIL SURPASSED $70 AGAIN
Brent oil carried its rise, which started yesterday, into today. As of 09:45, it rose to $70.76. These figures have led to expectations of an increase in fuel prices. A price increase of 1.81 TL is expected in the gasoline group starting tomorrow.
