Chilling details have emerged regarding the two-day-old baby who was murdered in Tekirdağ in 2010. It was determined that the baby was first drowned by a decision of the family council and then buried in the garden of the house, with concrete poured over the grave. The mother and grandmother, who constantly changed addresses to evade capture, were apprehended as a result of the efforts of the JASAT teams and were handed over to prison.
On March 12, 2025, during a project-based operation carried out by the JASAT teams of the Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Public Order Branch, it was determined that a woman named I.A. (38) had a life sentence for the crime of "killing a close relative." Another woman named T.S. (64), who was wanted for arrest for the same crime, was also taken under the surveillance of the teams. The suspects were caught at their residence in the Nusratiye neighborhood of Süleymanpaşa district through a joint operation by the Public Order Branch JASAT, 6th JASAT, Çorlu District Gendarmerie Command, and Süleymanpaşa District Gendarmerie Command teams.
THEY STRANGLED THE BABY AND BURIED HER IN CONCRETE
In an incident that occurred in 2010 in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, it was revealed that the 2-day-old baby girl born to I.A. from her boyfriend in the military was killed by a family council decision. It was discovered that the baby was first strangled to death and then buried in the garden of the house, with concrete poured over her. Upon receiving a tip-off, the police conducted a search at the specified address and found the baby's body. As part of the investigation, mother I.A., grandmother T.S., and other members of the family council were taken into custody.
THEY CHANGED ADDRESSES AND COVERED THEIR TRACKS
The mother and grandmother, who were tried while in custody in 2010, were released in 2018 to be tried without detention by the court's interim decision. After the court issued an aggravated life sentence for the two women for the crime of killing a close relative, the two women constantly changed addresses to cover their tracks. The two women wanted for murder were captured and handed over to prison as a result of the meticulous work of the JASAT teams.
