The body of a newborn baby was found by workers on the sorting line of a solid waste facility operating in Izmir. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
A heartbreaking incident occurred at the Bergama Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility operating in the Bergama district of Izmir.
NEWBORN BABY BODY FOUND
According to the information obtained, around 10:40 PM on February 7, workers on the waste sorting conveyor noticed a baby body among the waste. Upon reporting the situation, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the facility. In the initial examination, it was determined that the body found on the conveyor belonged to a newborn male baby who had passed away.
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
While security measures were taken at the scene, an investigation was initiated regarding the baby's death. It was learned that efforts were ongoing to determine how and by whom the baby was left in the trash.
