THE PLANE'S LANDING GEAR BROKE OFF

FRIGHTENING MOMENTS CAPTURED ON CAMERA
In footage recorded from the scene and inside the plane during the landing, the plane is seen coming to a stop after a hard landing and continued shaking, while the fact that the plane did not veer off the runway or catch fire prevented a major disaster. Passengers on board were safely evacuated and brought to the terminal, while numerous fire trucks were dispatched to the scene.
PASSENGERS WERE SAFELY EVACUATED
In a press statement made by Phuket Airport officials after the incident, it was reported that all 131 passengers and 7 crew members on board were safely evacuated and that there were no injuries in the incident. Following the event, the only runway at Phuket International Airport was temporarily closed for security reasons. Flight operations at the airport were halted for approximately 5 hours to remove the plane remaining on the runway and to conduct security checks.
Officials stated that during the time the runway was closed, some flights were delayed, and some planes were redirected to alternative airports. In a statement made by Air India Express, it was noted that initial inspections revealed a technical issue with the nose wheel during landing, and a detailed investigation into the incident has been initiated.
