In the investigation into the death of businessman Ramazan Arıkan, who was found dead in his ex-wife's house in Ankara, three suspects, including the victim's ex-wife and son, have been arrested. The autopsy revealed the presence of "xylazine," a sedative that can cause cardiac arrest when taken in high doses, and "Gabapentin," a medication used for epilepsy treatment, in Arıkan's body.
Three suspects, including the ex-wife and son of businessman Ramazan Arıkan, who was found dead at his ex-wife's house in Ankara, have been arrested in connection with the investigation into his death. The discovery of banned substances used in the incident drew attention.
BUSINESSMAN FOUND DEAD IN HIS HOME
According to the investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Ramazan Arıkan was found dead on November 16, 2025, at the address where his ex-wife S.S. resides. A comprehensive examination was launched by the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command Public Order Branch teams.
TWO DEADLY DRUGS FOUND IN HIS BLOOD
According to the Forensic Medicine Institution report dated January 14, 2026, prepared as part of the investigation, the autopsy revealed the presence of "xylazine" (a tranquilizer) and "Gabapentin," a drug used for epilepsy treatment, which can cause cardiac arrest when taken in high doses by humans.
REACHED THROUGH CAMERA RECORDINGS
Teams examining the camera recordings of the building where the incident occurred determined that Arıkan was brought to the house by his son B.A. and M.Ü. around 20:09 on the day of the incident, and at that time, the victim was having difficulty standing. It was also found that the victim's daughter H.S.A. entered the building an hour later, and shortly after, the victim reached the residence of his ex-wife S.S.
3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
It was determined that the suspects S.S., M.Ü., and B.A. left the building together, and shortly after, the victim's daughter H.S.A. called the 112 Emergency Call Center, with the ambulance arriving at the address at 22:11.
Upon the instruction of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, suspects M.Ü. and the victim's son B.A. were arrested on March 10 during an operation organized by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams. Based on the statements of the suspects, the victim's ex-wife S.S., who was taken into custody today, was also arrested, while her daughter H.S.A. was released under judicial control.
