A taxi hit one of two people trying to cross the road on the TEM Highway in Sultanbeyli. One person lost their life in the incident, while the other was saved at the last moment. An investigation has been launched regarding the accident.
Sultanbeyli, a taxi hit one of two people trying to cross the road on the TEM Highway. As a result of the impact, the pedestrian lost their life, while the other person narrowly escaped. The accident occurred on the TEM Highway at the Sultanbeyli junction towards Ankara around 02:30. According to reports, a taxi with the license plate 34 TDV 36, whose driver's name is unknown, hit one of the two pedestrians trying to cross the road. The pedestrian was thrown onto the road and seriously injured, while the other person narrowly escaped. The taxi driver reported the situation to the police and medical teams.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE ACCIDENT
Medical teams that arrived at the scene determined that the person hit by the taxi had lost their life. Police teams took precautions on the road to prevent a second accident and conducted an investigation. After the investigation, the lifeless body of this person was taken to the Yenibosna Forensic Medicine Institution morgue by a funeral vehicle. The taxi driver was taken to the police station for questioning. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
