In the district of Karadeniz Ereğli in Zonguldak, M.Ö., who fell asleep in a entertainment venue under the influence of alcohol, realized upon waking up that 370,000 TL had been withdrawn from his credit card. In the investigation initiated regarding the incident, a waiter was arrested and sent to prison.
A person who fell asleep under the influence of alcohol at an entertainment venue in the Karadeniz Ereğli district of Zonguldak realized that 370,000 TL had been withdrawn from his credit card when he woke up. The suspect, who worked as a waiter at the venue, was arrested.
M.Ö., who was spending time at an entertainment venue in Zonguldak, fell asleep due to the effects of alcohol. After being awakened by the waiter E.Y. and sent home by taxi, M.Ö. checked his bank account transactions in the morning and saw that a transaction of 370,000 TL had been made from his card.
370 THOUSAND LIRA WITHDRAWN FROM HIS CARD, HE FILED A COMPLAINT
Noticing the situation, M.Ö. went back to the entertainment venue to speak with those responsible. After a brief argument with the venue officials, M.Ö. went to the Karadeniz Ereğli District Police Department to file a complaint.
WAITER ARRESTED
Police teams detained the waiter E.Y., who worked at the entertainment venue. E.Y., who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested by the court for the crime of "fraud by using information systems, banks, or credit institutions as tools" under Article 245 of the Turkish Penal Code and sent to prison.
