It has been learned that the activists on the plane that arrived at Istanbul Airport will undergo health checks at the Forensic Medicine Institution in Yenibosna.

Additionally, the activists will be taken to the Istanbul Police Department for questioning regarding the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office concerning the detention of Turkish citizens in international waters following the attack on Israel's Global Sumud Fleet.

"WE WERE SUBJECTED TO VIOLENCE, THEY DID NOT GIVE US BREAD OR WATER"

Describing their first feelings and experiences as soon as they got off the plane, the activists stated that they had stayed in an Israeli prison for about 3.5 days, that they were subjected to both physical and psychological violence, and that they were not given bread or water. The activists emphasized that they did not yield to the pressures and expressed that all those detained were rescued by Turkey. The activists said, "We thank our President and our state."

THE SPOKESPERSON OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS HAD ANNOUNCED

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Keçeli stated on the social media platform X: "It is anticipated that 36 of our citizens, who were detained by Israeli forces in international waters on the vessels of the Global Sumud Fleet, will return to our country this afternoon on a special flight. The final number has not yet been confirmed."

Efforts are ongoing to complete the procedures for the remaining citizens as soon as possible so that they can come to Turkey. It is also planned for citizens of third countries to be on the said flight.

Following Spokesperson Keçeli's statement, sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "It is anticipated that citizens of the USA, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Morocco, Italy, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Switzerland, Tunisia, and Jordan will also be on the Turkish Airlines plane allocated for the transfer of our citizens held in Israel to our country."
