The number of real estate sold across Turkey increased by 7.6% during the January-November period, reaching 2,874,237. This figure has been recorded as the highest January-November data of all time.

According to data compiled from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM), all real estate sales, including residential, land, agricultural, commercial properties, and business premises, started the year strongly and maintained this momentum for most of the year.

INCREASE IN 8 MONTHS, DECREASE IN 3 MONTHS

In the first 10 months of the year, real estate sales increased in January, February, April, May, June, July, August, and September compared to the same period in 2024, while a decrease was observed in March, October, and November.

ALL-TIME RECORD BROKEN

The number of real estate sold nationwide was 238,938 in January, 232,756 in February, 222,934 in March, 237,829 in April, 263,643 in May, 218,282 in June, 284,852 in July, 290,564 in August, 300,687 in September, 310,457 in October, and 273,295 in November. A notable decrease of 8.6% was observed in November compared to the same period last year.

In the January-November period, real estate sales increased by 7.6% to reach 2,874,237. This figure was recorded as the highest January-November data of all time. The previous highest figure was 2,825,188 in 2022.

NUMBER OF TRANSACTIONS IN LAND REGISTRY OFFICES EXCEEDS 18.4 MILLION

During this period, a total of 18,410,305 transactions were carried out in land registry offices. Approximately 2.9 million of these were sales, more than 1.2 million were mortgages, 446,000 were inheritance, 157,000 were corrections, 62,300 were expropriations, 48,300 were separations, 34,000 were donations, nearly 27,900 were consolidations, and approximately 26,100 were partition transactions. Other transactions approached 13.4 million.

The revenue from fees obtained from transactions carried out in the land registry during this period increased by 73.7% to reach 139 billion 175 million 722 thousand lira. Of this, 133.1 billion lira came from sales transactions.
