The investigation into the death of singer Gül Tut, who fell from the window of her home in Yalova, is ongoing. As part of the investigation, Gül Tut's daughter Tuğyan Gülter, her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, and a 17-year-old named İrem were detained while preparing to flee abroad. Following these detentions, the process turned into a murder investigation. Additionally, Güllü's employer, Ferdi Aydın, stated after the detentions, "The criminals have been caught."
The investigation launched by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the death of singer Gül Tut, who fell from the window of her apartment in the 6-story building located on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district, is ongoing. After technical and physical surveillance, a detention order was issued for Tuğyan Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu.
GÜLLÜ'S DAUGHTER AND 2 FRIENDS DETAINED Teams from the Istanbul Police Department and Yalova Police Department determined that the two suspects were preparing to flee abroad. Following this, the teams captured Gülter and Ulu in an operation they conducted at a location in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, in the early hours of the morning. A 17-year-old individual named İrem, who was present at the address during the operation, was also detained.
"IT TURNED INTO A MURDER INVESTIGATION" CNN Türk Istanbul News Coordinator Nihat Uludağ shared the following details regarding the detention of singer Güllü's daughter Tuğyan Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu:
"With the detention of Güllü's daughter, the investigation into the suspicious death has turned into a murder investigation, specifically for the charge of intentional killing. Their statements will be taken. Today is a critical day; as we understand, the report explaining whether there was a push at the scene or if it was an accidental fall is being submitted to the prosecutor's office today, and serious signs of murder are emerging at the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor's office is actually closely monitoring the building where Güllü's daughter stayed, almost on her heels. Precautions have been taken against the possibility of escape. What does this mean? The prosecutor's office has reached a physical piece of evidence today.
They were caught red-handed as they were leaving the building with a suitcase. The statements of Tuğyan Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu will be taken. Their initial statements were witness statements; as of this moment, they will be taken as suspects and referred to the court. If the court finds the prosecutor's work sufficient and considers the physical information and documents related to the murder charge to be valid, a murder investigation will begin."
"THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE HAS SERIOUS INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS" Uludağ stated, "According to the information we received, the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has very serious documents and information. The suspicious death investigation has turned into a murder investigation. They were detained on charges of murder due to the possibility of fleeing abroad. Güllü's daughter Tuğyan Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu were detained by civil teams affiliated with the Yalova Police Department while they were preparing to escape with their suitcases from the building in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul. We see that Güllü has installed a state-of-the-art locking mechanism on the door and a security camera system at five different points. This indicates that Güllü had serious security concerns, and the plug of the security camera in the living room was pulled out, which raises an important question. Due to the unplugging of the camera in the living room, the recording of the scene could not be obtained," he said.
Ferdi Aydın CRIMINALS CAUGHT After the detention, Güllü's manager Ferdi Aydın made a statement, saying, "We were crazy, what happened? There will be no food in this rainy weather from now on. I will make you all suffer." In another post, Ferdi Aydın stated, "Criminals were caught before Güllü sister's soil dried. May God be pleased with all of you. Our blood did not remain on the ground."
3 SUSPECTS UNDERWENT HEALTH CHECK IN YALOVA After the procedures, the three suspects were brought to Yalova. The suspects underwent a health check at Yalova Education and Research Hospital. After their procedures here, Güllü's daughter and the two individuals accompanying her were referred to the Yalova Provincial Police Department to give statements.
Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST WITNESSES While the investigation into Güllü's death continues, Güllü's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu's lawyer Merve Uçanok went to the Yalova Courthouse and filed a criminal complaint against witnesses and lawyers whom they claim made false allegations against their clients.
Lawyer Uçanok stated in a written statement that they filed a criminal complaint against B. D, R. Y., Ç. K., F. A., three lawyers, and Gülter's boyfriend K. E. and F. A. for violating the privacy of private life, as they allegedly recorded audio without their clients' knowledge and made false allegations.
Uçanok also noted that she represents İ. Ö., who was threatened by F. A. with her family, and stated:
"Some individuals who claim to hold accountable those who allegedly commit violence against women are exposing İ. Ö.'s personal data and attacking her private life, family life, womanhood, and all sacred values, especially in broadcasts they conduct on uncontrolled social media platforms, particularly after midnight. These attacks are made solely because she is a woman and expresses her opinions within the scope of journalistic activity. Again, these individuals, who falsely claim that Turkish society supports them, have no qualms about trampling on the values that are considered sacred both socially and in our beliefs. This situation puts both my client and her family in a very difficult position, causing them to suffer. Moreover, these individuals direct their actions not only towards İ. Ö. but also towards anyone who thinks differently from them, especially women, who try to address issues in an impartial and objective manner, initiating a lynching frenzy and attempting to justify themselves through a perception operation. İ. Ö. will fully exercise all her rights as a woman and a journalist who contributes to a democratic society and represents the public's right to know."
As lawyers, we will fight to the end against those individuals and mindsets that manipulate society and target our women. "Uçanok added that they will soon file a criminal complaint against individuals and institutions involved in similar crimes.
