In the Serik district of Antalya, retired police officer Sinan Abdulkadir Ihsan tragically lost his life after being hit by a truck while crossing the road on his scooter. The moment of the accident was captured second by second by a security camera.
The accident occurred yesterday around 21:00 on the D400 highway in Antalya-Alanya, on Kürüş Street. Retired police officer Sinan Abdulkadir İhsan (66), who was trying to cross the road with his scooter, was hit by a pickup truck driven by Y.E.G.
RETIRED POLICE OFFICER DRAGGED 60 METERS DIED
Sinan Abdulkadir İhsan, who was dragged approximately 60 meters forward, was injured. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial intervention, İhsan was taken to Serik State Hospital, where he could not be saved despite all efforts. After the examination by the public prosecutor, Sinan Abdulkadir İhsan's body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution morgue.
It was stated that Sinan Abdulkadir İhsan, registered in Kahramanmaraş, settled in Serik after his retirement and worked as a driver there.

Meanwhile, the accident was captured by the security camera of a business. The footage shows the pickup truck hitting Sinan Abdulkadir İhsan, who was moving to cross the road with his scooter from the crossing point on the median.
While the pickup truck driver was taken into custody, the police launched an investigation into the accident.
