A security officer who was attacked for warning a passenger smoking in the İzmir Suburban Transportation System (İZBAN) has lost his life.

The security officer Seydihan A. (44), who was on duty in the İzmir Suburban Transportation System (İZBAN), was killed by a passenger he warned for smoking. Mehmet D. (37), who was traveling on İZBAN, was warned by security officers for smoking. The argument that arose between Mehmet D. and the security officers eventually turned into a fight. The suspect assaulted security officers Seydihan A. (44) and Hasan K. (37). Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured security officers were taken to Gaziemir Nevvar Salih İşgören State Hospital.

THE ATTACKER WAS ARRESTED

Seydihan A, whose condition worsened, could not be saved despite interventions at Dokuz Eylul University Hospital.

The body of Seydihan A was sent to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institution morgue for autopsy procedures. Mehmet D, who was taken into custody by the police, was arrested by the court he was brought before.
